TYPE OF GOLD WE SELL

Most of our products are newly manufactured, we are not a pawn shop.  When we receive new shipments they are a part of a massive production line with Strick processing and quality assurance direct to our us.  When we receive our new shipments we sample test using non destruction ET-18 Mizar Gold Karat Tester.  We have also used XRF to analyze our shipments.  The results on 18k have always shown to be over 76% Gold. 

• 24K is 99.99% pure gold.
• 21K is 87.5% pure gold
• 18K is 75% gold

Pure gold is very soft and while beautiful it is too fragile for daily use.

• Yellow Gold is made by mixing pure gold with silver, copper, and zinc.
• White Gold is made through a mix of gold and platinum, or palladium, or nickel or zinc;
• Rose Gold (or pink gold) is alloyed with gold, copper, and silver.

A favorite! Simply means an “Empty Space” inside. This is done to reduce the amount of gold to be used in making the jewelry, making it affordable and bigger while still being pure so you can measure your value.

Yes, were the real deal. We are an Incorporation registered in British Columbia, Canada, fully accredited by the BBB.
As an incorporation we are required to report sales, pay our taxes on profits and income. We are accountable and safe.

We can offer a private viewing but by invitation appointment only.

We do not have a showroom so there is no drop in storefront you can browse, sorry guys!  Maybe soon?   We are online based only through our live sales, private messaging and of course our website www.thegolddigger.ca

We are open at 10AM to 5PM PST (Pacific Standard Time) locally.  After hours we have customer service available until midnight.  Between Midnight and 8:00am no one is available.

PRICING

We price our Gold Jewelry per gram.  The rate will vary depending on the stock price of Gold when the item was manufactured.   Typically our items were manufactured 1-2 months before we have them for sale.  Yes, that is right, our items are newly manufactured.


In certain cases, it is priced per item.

Items with Enamel, Cubic Zirconia or any semi precious stones are still priced per gram.

Our 18k Hollow and Solid Gold Jewelry is newly manufactured.  Each item type is processed 1,000 grams at time from pure a 99.99% gold supply.  They alloys are mixed to create the exact 18k we are looking for.  When we us a XRF to verify the composition the mixture is always slightly better than 75% Gold (18k) between 75.4% to 75.6%

No, never coated, filled or plated.  These methods make it very hard to estimate the value and do not make good investments. We don't carry any of those products.

I would estimate it to be very reliable but sensitive to user error.  XRF is really the only absolute fool proof way.  Our most cost effective non destructive testing uses a combination of chemical and electricity to test and has been more reliable than traditional scratch and chemical testing. We have not observed an inaccurate reading when the equipment is used properly.

Sometimes for solid plated jewellery but not for hollow light weight. Other strong metals are used for the hinges or springs and with a lightweight the item is easy to react.  Sometimes copper will repel, as 18k is 75% Gold and usually 10-15% Copper.

We do not offer this service at this time.  We provide only newly manufactured products.  We are not Jewellers or Gemologist.

SHIPPING

Our items are shipped through Canada Post.

We ship worldwide, mainly in North America, Europe and Australia.

Shipping is directly quoted from the courier on our website on the check out page.  Canada ranges from $14 to $28 and the US is $18 to $40

Days  not weeks!  our average delivery is 3-7 Business Days excluding unprecedented circumstances with the courier process.  

Yes. You will receive it by email or messenger.

This can be optional but highly recommended. Insurance is charged at the checkout
Who’s responsibility is it when a package is lost?
• From our facility to Canada Post it is our responsibility.
• From Canada Post to your door it is the shippers responsibility (insurable)
• Once the items are delivered to your mailbox, it is your responsibility.  

Yes, especially if you are from the neighboring cities/towns. Kindly inform us ahead to have your items ready for pick-up. Do not arrive without an appointment, you will not be able to get into see us. We do not have a retail location open to visitors.

Yes, we have two payment plan options

  1. Affirm checkout, OAC, Ships right away
  2. Layaway in house, No Credit check, Ships after fully paid

Yes, from the cart you can add or remove items.  After your order is placed, there is a fee to change items

  • Change item fee is $25
  • Layaway agreements $50 to change items 
  • Affirm - Can not edit or change items as it is a 3rd party
  • Pre-orders may not be able to change the item if it is already importing
  • Shipped items can not be changed

REFUNDS AND GUARANTEES

Yes, we guarantee our products are free from defects when we ship them until the time you use them.  An unboxing video is required!  Please do unboxing videos for insurance!

Please photograph it and check your item. We ship in boxes inside the packaging to ensure the item is not damaged. Damages are very rare as we do package for a rough trip.

We make sure that all items are in good condition before we ship and photograph each shipment but if it does happen that is very sad and we know that sadness, WE WILL NOT ABANDON YOU. If we missed it, and shipped a bunk product, that is our fault and we will make it right or better.  

Contact us and we will email a shipping label.
*** It is very important to use the jewellery box to return the items or they will be damaged during shipping on the return. ***

What if I just want to return it and changed my mind?
If you want to exchange or return without a cause then you can if the item is unworn and you pay for all the additional costs.

If your circumstance is difficult? please reach out to us. Fair treatment between friends is our policy.

Any loss after the item is received and damages that arise with personal use will be at your expense.

Any purchase especially when items are received are deemed as Final Sale.

Yes, our items are insured when shipped for $100. Doing an unboxing video is mandatory!  Help us help you with the claim with our shipping partners.  Additional insurance is available at the time of purchase.
